What is the Customer Kiosk and how does it work?
The Customer Kiosk is a hands-free display that shows a QR code customers scan themselves. The code refreshes automatically so it can't be copied, and no staff involvement is needed. Best for busy venues.
The Customer Kiosk is a display you leave running — typically a tablet on the counter or a screen on a stand. It shows your loyalty QR code alongside your logo, and customers scan it themselves as they pass.
No staff involvement is needed at all, which makes it a good fit when things are busy and nobody has time to operate a device.
How the code stays safe without anyone watching it
Nobody is standing over the screen, so a fixed code could be photographed and shared around. The kiosk avoids that by regenerating its code automatically. When a new code appears, the previous one immediately stops working.
You choose how often this happens, with a minimum of 10 minutes.
Two settings that do different things
These are easy to confuse, and they control quite different things:

An example: a gaming venue in the USA lets players collect a stamp every hour. They set the Time Out to 60 minutes, while the code keeps regenerating in the background so it cannot be captured and passed around the room.
Setting one up
- In your dashboard go to Issue Stamps → Customer Kiosk.
- Create a Kiosk User for each device you want to run. Every device gets its own login.
- Under Kiosk Settings, choose the default card, how often the code regenerates, and the heading and sub-heading shown on screen.
- Open the Companion App on the device, sign in as that kiosk user, and leave it running.
Set a Device Exit Code — a 4-digit code required to leave kiosk mode — so the display can’t be closed by a customer or by staff.
