How do I delete my data?
Customers delete their own profile from Profile → Delete Account in the app, or email [email protected] if they've lost access. Businesses should cancel first, then request deletion. Deletion is permanent.
This is the most common single request we get, so here it is plainly. There are two different situations, and the right route depends on which one you’re in.
If you’re a customer collecting stamps
You can do this yourself, and you don’t need to ask us.
- Open the Flex Rewards app.
- Go to Profile in the main menu.
- Tap Delete Account and follow the instructions.
This is permanent. Your stamp cards and any unredeemed rewards are gone immediately. If you’re partway to a free coffee, that progress goes with it — so it’s worth redeeming anything you’ve already earned first.
If you only want the emails to stop
Deleting the account is the heavy option. If what you actually want is to stop receiving marketing emails while keeping your stamps, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send. Your cards and progress stay exactly as they are.
Lost access to the app?
If you can’t sign in — a changed phone number, a deleted email, a sign-in provider you no longer use — email [email protected] from or naming the email address or phone number the account is registered under. We’ll confirm it’s you, then process the removal. Please allow up to 30 days for a response, though it’s usually much faster.
If you’re a business
Do these in order, because they’re separate actions:
- Cancel the subscription first — here’s how. Deleting data does not stop billing, and cancelling does not delete data.
- Then ask us to delete the account. Contact us with Billing as the topic, or email [email protected], naming the business and the email the account was opened with.
One thing to settle before you do: your member list is your record, not just ours. If you cancel, we are not obligated to keep making that data available to you, so if you want your customer list, download it from the dashboard before you cancel.
What the business can and cannot delete for a customer
This trips people up in both directions, so:
- A business cannot delete a customer’s Flex Rewards profile. Removing someone from a member list doesn’t delete their account. Only the customer can do that, from the app — or we can, on their request.
- A business does have to delete its own copy. When a customer joins a program they consent to releasing their name and contact details to that business, and businesses can download that data. So a copy may sit in a spreadsheet or a POS outside Flex Rewards entirely. If a customer asks a business to remove their information, the business is required to comply with its own records — we can’t reach into them.
If you’re a customer who wants to be sure you’re gone from everywhere, delete your profile with us and ask the business directly.
What gets deleted, and what doesn’t
Deleting removes your active profile and stops us using your personal information to provide you services.
We can’t always delete everything, and it’s better to say so than to imply otherwise:
- Records of past transactions may be kept where we’re required to retain them for financial reporting or legal compliance.
- Backup copies may persist briefly before they’re permanently erased.
The full detail is in our Privacy Policy under Data Retention.
Where you are matters
Customers in the UK, EU, Singapore, Australia, Canada and California have specific deletion rights under local law, and we comply with deletion requests regardless of where you are. You don’t need to cite a regulation or use particular wording — asking is enough.
If you’d rather not use the app route, email [email protected] and say what you want removed.
